Honestly? Please pardon that I have zero interest in web design. It's a frustrating distraction from my real priorities. My passion is photography and, equally important, the development of photography. (Mouse-over that image, left, to see what I mean.) As a photographer, specializing in girls/models, musicians, and anyone who cares to appear larger-than-life. It's my exceptional rapport with subjects that delivers the results. As a developer, pioneering a bold new method that leaves behind the vast majority of "digital darkroom" tradition. And working on the book to share it and inspire others. This has been my primary research goal for three years (once I realized the old methods were holding me back.) As an artist, aspiring to make images that suggest a story as much as delight the eye, "covers to books unwritten." Available (usually) as magnificent two-foot prints, they shoot to be endlessly interesting, and so real you could almost reach in and touch them. (And impossible to reflect duly on a computer screen.) And investing in scrupulous quality for magnificent large-format prints, to frame and shine from the wall. So!, enough to chew on, for my long-overdue website. Get in touch if you'd like, I'd be pleased to hear. And, eventually, I'll provide more content, articles, guided tours, and news to fill out the space here. Elsewhere on the web: As of October 2007, I have left deviantART, after a long artistic and community history there. Some new web presence and point-of-sale for my prints should be established by the beginning of 2008. Until then, you can view: My emphasis on models at OneModelPlace, and a useful differentiation between shots about a model and my art starring a model. They're two totally different kinds of work to me, that should be evident by comparison. My trivial presence at MySpace, offering no value but in case anyone wants to get in touch with me there. Oh, and if anyone (espec. photographers) would get a kick out of it, my top-rated review of Canon's 50mm f/1.4 lens at Amazon. Says a lot about how I'll negotiate a topic. All for now, more to come, thanks for visiting. Thorne |
